All India Trinamool Congress: "He may claim to be a “non-expert” on Bengal politics, but Ramachandra Guha clearly has his ear to the ground as the state goes through a tumultuous transition — Marxists, Mamata and all. The outspoken historian makes no bones of his disgust with the present government, while also airing his views on those waiting to take up the mantle of leadership.
“The CPM needs to be kicked in the backside so that its returns a chastened party. It would have been good for Bengal had the party lost 10 years ago,” said Guha. Not averse to Mamata holding fort as the next chief minister, he was quick to add, “She must have some good ministers for good governance. I’m not sure she has them. The Trinamool Congress must take care not to reproduce the same system.”"
