Death rattle: "Both the ruling Congress and the opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP) in Andhra Pradesh were dazed by their defeat at the hands of YSR Congress leader Jagan Mohan Reddy and his mother in two byelections. Jagan won the Kadapa Lok Sabha seat by a record margin of 5,21,000 votes. His mother, Y.S. Vijaya Lakshmi, won the Pulivendula Assembly seat by 81,191 votes."
