Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader LK Advani on Wednesday said there was no need for a resolution to be passed by the Andhra Pradesh Assembly for carving out a separate Telangana state.
Addressing a news conference in Nizamabad during his 'Jana Chetna Yatra', he said there was no need for a resolution to be passed by any assembly for the formation of a new state.
"The constitution of India does not provide anything of that sort. There is no need for any assembly resolution," he said.
